This Time article highlights Bangladesh’s improved disaster management capabilities. It’s a unique challenge to protect an alluvial, deltaic plain that is buffeted by constantly course-changing rivers, but I’m optimistic that it’s within our reach as our political leadership matures and gains perspective and our scientists get some more help from the government.
